Theo Bodden

Cayman Bureau Chief

Eyes on the Legislative Assembly so you don’t have to be.

Theo Bodden runs the Cayman Journal Cayman bureau and has covered the territory's government, public budgets, and civic life for fifteen years. A Bodden Town native, he came up through the local press before joining Cayman Journal at its founding, and is widely regarded as the most authoritative beat reporter on the Legislative Assembly. His reporting has helped surface major procurement irregularities, drove the public-sector pay-disclosure reforms of 2022, and consistently breaks news on cabinet shifts and constituency politics. Theo holds a degree in public policy from the University of the West Indies and is a fellow of the Caribbean Investigative Journalism Network. He spends his weekends fishing the North Sound and arguing about cricket.
