Sarah Chen is Cayman Journal's senior markets and finance correspondent, covering banking, capital markets, and cross-border deal-making. She began her career on a global equities desk in Singapore, moved to financial journalism with a major international wire in Hong Kong, and joined Cayman Journal in 2020 to build out its markets coverage. Sarah has reported on sovereign-debt restructurings across three continents, the listing wave that followed the post-pandemic rate cycle, and the structural shifts inside the world's largest offshore banking corridor. She holds the CFA charter, an MBA in Finance from the London Business School, and a working knowledge of Mandarin and Cantonese. Her weekly Markets Brief is required reading inside several large fund managers.
